Discovery Resorts – Lake Argyle modular accommodation
ModnPods delivered six modular accommodation units to Discovery Resorts – Lake Argyle, including one full SDA house and two duplexes, for one of Australia’s most remarkable remote tourism destinations.
Located in Western Australia’s East Kimberley region, near Kununurra, Lake Argyle presented a unique logistical challenge. The modules travelled approximately 3,580 kilometres from our Gold Coast manufacturing facility to reach their final destination, requiring careful coordination across manufacturing, transport and on-site delivery.
Manufacturing the accommodation off-site within our controlled facility enabled our team to maintain consistent quality and greater programme certainty before the modules began their journey across Australia. Each module was designed and manufactured with transport, durability and its final location in mind, supporting an efficient transition from factory to site.
Surrounded by the rugged landscapes and expansive views of the Kimberley, the completed accommodation provides practical and comfortable spaces designed to support the needs of guests visiting this remote destination.
The Lake Argyle project demonstrates how modular manufacturing can support tourism and holiday park accommodation well beyond major metropolitan areas, combining controlled off-site manufacturing with carefully planned logistics to deliver quality accommodation to remote locations across Australia.
